Looking forward to 2021-2022

On July 28th, Mr. Portas shared with district families a comparison of last year's protocols with what is anticipated for the coming school year. This community's support and flexibility enabled our schools to be open from day 1 in 2020 and as a parent, I thank you for that. It is also thanks to the people who are able to be vaccinated, and did so, that we are in a much better position to resume school activities like assemblies, Back to School night, club meetings, and science labs, even though many children are still unable to be vaccinated. For that reason, we are not free of COVID-19 exposure risk, and some of us will never be free from the health risk it poses. Certain protocols will need to remain in place or be fluid as circumstances change. But as a community, we can continue to support each other and take care of one another so our kids can be in their classrooms learning.
